Dear Friends,

Desiree and I are leaving with our family on a voyage through the Mediterranean on our catamaran. This is an adventure that has had an eight year gestation. For the next year and a half, we will be sailing from Spain to Turkey and back again, before beginning the journey home nearly half way around the world. We will do the home school thing for the 5th and perhaps the 6th grade. We will miss our friends greatly and hope to stay in touch with everyone over the internet. This is our web site. The site is an ongoing chronicle of our acquiring, outfitting, and learning the intricacies and behavior of the S/V Gone Native. It will document the travels and experiences from the perspective of each member of the crew (can you say... home school writing assignment). I hope you will take the time to bookmark the site.
